How It Started

Eric started Ghost in the Stacks as a way to share his love for horror, sci-fi, and fantasy books & stories. He began by casually posting video reviews and discussions on YouTube and TikTok but soon found out he loved the process of writing scripts, filming, and editing videos. Taking the time to write down his thoughts on stories and the themes explored within them added an extra layer of enjoyment beyond just reading the books. As Eric’s audience grew and a small community of like minded readers formed he decided to start posting regularly and engaging more with the community.  

That’s how Ghost in the Stacks was born. It’s a place where horror, sci-fi, and fantasy books can be recommended, discussed, and discovered. There are so many amazing books out there and it can be hard to decide what to read next, but hopefully these reviews and suggestions can get you moving on your reading journey!

Eric works as a digital marketing professional and currently lives in Richmond, Virginia. Besides reading, Eric loves powerlifting and gardening.
